LOS ANGELES, CA \u2013\u00a0<\/span>Kid Cudi<\/a>\u00a0stopped by\u00a0Jada Pinkett Smith\u2019s\u00a0Red Table Talk<\/em><\/a>\u00a0to discuss his mental health issues and battle with drugs. After Pinkett Smith opened up about her own struggles, the veteran actress brought out Cudi for a revealing conversation about his troubles.<\/p>\n

Cudi spoke about dealing with depression, which he said was exacerbated by his fame. The multi-platinum artist noted that he felt a tremendous amount of pressure to live up to the lofty standards projected on him by fans and industry players alike.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s where most of the bad stuff came in,\u201d Cudi said. \u201cI have to live up to be this person, and I don\u2019t feel like that. It\u2019s like doing a comedy but you\u2019re miserable. It\u2019s like my life was like this show and I was always supposed to be on. But when the show was over, I was completely miserable. For a long time, I wasn\u2019t happy when I woke up in the morning.\u201d<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Later on, Cudi delved into his drug use. The \u201cDay \u2018n Nite\u201d creator said he secretly used cocaine, which is why it flew under the radar for so long.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a very private thing,\u201d he explained. \u201cI was dealing with my shit alone. I never did drugs around a bunch of people.\u201d<\/p>\n
