Remy Ma<\/a>\u00a0praises the power of women. The outspoken rapper consistently uses her platform to discuss self-image, and the\u00a0video for her latest single<\/a>\u00a0“Melanin Magic (Pretty Brown)”\u00a0— the\u00a0Mint Condition<\/a>-sampling track featuring\u00a0Chris Brown<\/a>\u00a0— celebrates the beauty and diversity of black women. It\u2019s not a far departure from her 2006 hit “Conceited,”\u00a0when Remy first let the world know that her self-confidence was unshakeable. 12 years later, she\u2019s encouraging more women to feel the same way.<\/p>\n

In honor of Women’s History Month, Remy has crafted a playlist that is, naturally,\u00a0very pro-women. “This month is all about empowerment so I wanted to share some of the songs that keep me motivated and moving forward and I hope they do the same for you!”\u00a0she told\u00a0Billboard<\/em><\/i>. With tracks from Rapsody, Dej Loaf, and Missy Elliott, the playlist prominently displays the talents of female rappers from various generations.<\/p>\n

Remy also wants to foster a culture of collaboration among\u00a0female emcees. During the NBA All-Star Weekend, Remy hosted a Women\u2019s Empowerment Brunch, where she told\u00a0Variety<\/em><\/i><\/a>\u00a0that “there\u2019s strength in numbers.”\u00a0She continued, “We all bring something different to the table, and once people realize that, stop fighting each other, work together and help build each other up, we\u2019ll grow even more.”\u00a0Her playlist hints at this collaborative spirit with a feature of Queen Latifah\u2019s empowering anthem, “U.N.I.T.Y”\u00a0Also heavily featured on the playlist? Another rap\u00a0queen,\u00a0Lil Kim, who Remy recently brought out at her NYC show on March 16.<\/p>\n

The remainder of Remy’s 25-track-long playlist neatly blends ’90s hip-hop staples with today\u2019s hits.
